Business Advisory

Strategic guidance for the decisions that shape where your business goes next.

What This Is

Advice grounded in your own numbers

Most advice is easy to give and hard to act on. Business advisory at ARJ starts from your actual financials, not a generic framework — because we're also the people who audit your books and file your returns, we already know where your business really stands before the first strategy conversation begins.

We work alongside founders, family businesses and management teams on the decisions that are too big — and too specific to your business — to make alone.

Is This You?

What changes when you bring us in

Without business advisory

  • Decisions made on gut feel, not on numbers anyone fully trusts
  • A growth plan that exists in someone's head, not on paper
  • The same operational problems resurfacing every year
  • No one outside the founder who truly understands the numbers

With business advisory

  • Decisions backed by a clear, shared view of your numbers and options
  • A roadmap the whole leadership team is actually aligned on
  • Root causes fixed once, instead of patched every quarter
  • A second set of eyes you trust before the board meeting
Where We Help

Four kinds of conversations we have most often

Growth strategy

Deciding where to expand, what to invest in next, and how to sequence growth without overstretching your cash or your team.

Cost & profitability

Finding where margin is actually leaking, and fixing it precisely — instead of a blanket cost-cutting exercise that damages the business alongside the problem.

Business restructuring

Reshaping ownership, entity structure or reporting lines when the business has genuinely outgrown how it's currently set up.

Board & investor advisory

Preparing the numbers and the narrative you need to walk into a board meeting or an investor conversation with confidence.

How We Engage

Four phases, one continuous engagement

Not a report and a handshake — we stay through implementation.

01

Diagnose

Understand the business, the numbers, and the real question behind the question you asked us.

02

Design

Build options, not just one recommendation — each with its trade-offs made explicit.

03

Deliver

Help implement the chosen path, not just hand over a report and leave.

04

Sustain

Check back in, so the plan survives contact with the next quarter.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a strategy consulting firm?

Our advice is grounded in the same financial and audit work we do for you elsewhere — we're not applying a generic framework from outside, we already know your numbers.

Do you only work with large companies?

No — we work with growth-stage founders through to established family businesses and groups. Engagements are scoped to the size and complexity of the decision, not a minimum company size.

Is this a one-time engagement or ongoing?

Both happen. Some clients bring us in for a single decision — a restructuring or an expansion call. Others keep us on as an ongoing sounding board. We scope it to what you actually need.

Will you help implement decisions, or just recommend them?

We stay through implementation. The "Deliver" phase of every engagement is built around actually helping execute the chosen path, not just handing over a report.

How is advisory work priced?

We scope and quote each engagement upfront based on its complexity, rather than open-ended hourly billing — so you know the commitment before we start.

Have a decision you're not sure how to make alone?

Tell us what's on the table, and we'll tell you how we can help.
